Project Plans - South Elevation
Day 10 Update: Wrapped up the joist tape, blocking, and knee bracing on the lower deck, as well as completing the lower stair landings. We intentionally leave joist tape short of deck edges during framing - when we install fascia, we run the tape over the top edge to prevent water from getting between fascia and framing. Our blocking is installed slightly lower than joists so decking installs without interference while maintaining structural strength. It's the little details that make the biggest difference in how long a deck lasts. Decking phase coming soon!
